Orle grew up in rural Saskatchewan, moving to Regina at the age of 10. Summers were spent
on her Grandparents farms at Raymore and Lockwood, where she learned to appreciate the
beauty and intrigue of the prairies. Orle comes from a very talented family. They include fabric
artists, musicians and other visual artists.
Orle has always been driven to be creative. She has dabbled in stained glass, ceramics, drawing
and painting. She has also taken many painting lessons in acrylic and watercolour. Since
retirement from the Federal Government and being free from other family obligations, she has
been painting in earnest and is always inspired by the beauty of the prairie landscape.
She gravitates toward vibrant colours using acrylics, watercolours and alcohol inks. At present
Orle is dabbling in mixed media and gouache.
She is a member of the Prairie Artists Guild and the Art Gallery of Regina. Her paintings are
exhibited at two shows a year with the guild.
